Bryce’s Race Recap – YMCA Resolution Run

My first race with my dad felt like I was running a marathon! Except it was only a 5k! After the race my legs hurt like crazy and I felt  like I was going to fall down.  Also Junior, My dad’s friend pointed out that we beat a bunch of people.

I thought that the leaders were going pretty fast and although they couldn’t go any faster than the lead bike.

My choice for after-race drink! Click to hear his chorus sing Hot Chocolate!

After the race I had a hot chocolate and a water bottle. The hot chocolate was very yummy, and the water bottle cooled me down.

I liked running the race with my dad, overall it was very fun!

I run, because I am a runner. Having realized that I have always "been a runner" - even when I went years with out running, I am learning how it has integrated itself in all aspects of my life. When I started running in highschool, my perspective on life changed. Funny that I didn't realize how much it had affected it until just recently.

  1. Awesome job Bryce and nice choice of post race beverage! Keep up the great work, and in time a 5k will feel like a walk in the park. Happy New Year!

Bryce, I am very proud of you. That is a tremendous achievement and it shows me that you are capable of accomplishing anything you set your mind too. Great job!!!
