An Icy Tuesday.

Today.. Was icy.  Icy enough that my Tuesday-morning running partner, decided to be smart, and call off the out-door 5 mile run.

Obviously, out of the two of us, Theresa over at Go Believe Conquer – is the smarter  of the two.  This is obvious, because I most likely would have gotten dressed and headed over to the meeting spot if I hadn’t seen her Facebook post above!

Now, it may occur to you that she was concerned with safety.. In reality, i am positive she was just concerned about my feelings.  She would have been all:

So, thanks to her consideration, the morning was lollygagging in bed longer than Tuesday normally allows, and then off to the gym for the married couple’s personal training session!!!!   Today’s focus was on shoulders and legs.  So, my morning run was a quick warmup on the treadmill (1 mile at 8 min/mile), and right into it!

Shoulder press, some glute-lifty thingy (see video below – it is not me in the video), hamstrings, planks, and some more awesome exercises that I don’t recall off hand at the moment.

It felt like a good work out, and now I’m all cocky with the “It doesn’t even hurt!!”  I’m not willing to actually say that however, as I’m sure it will tomorrow.

I still owe a cardio workout of some sort later today, since the ice prevented the morning 5 miles.. I’ll keep you informed.

About

I run, because I am a runner. Having realized that I have always "been a runner" - even when I went years with out running, I am learning how it has integrated itself in all aspects of my life. When I started running in highschool, my perspective on life changed. Funny that I didn't realize how much it had affected it until just recently.

Yes..My favorite exercise! Hip Thrusters!! I hit a PR weight of #295 a couple of weeks ago. Goal for the year is #390.

By the way..I think our pictures were reversed..I’d have been the one falling on their assets.
